Another very historically significant Pontiac, this is one of the last 1971 GTO Judges produced of the 357 cars built. Pontiac introduced the 455 HO rated at 335 HP at 4,800 RPM and 480 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM on the strength of the improved breathing inherent in its Ram Air IV round-port heads, 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. The GTO and its Judge variant were more attractive machines if one’s tastes leaned toward the more daring, the Judge adding bold graphic excitement to the GTO’s restyled nose treatment and flared fender brows.

Quezel Gold metallic paint and contrasting Judge emblems and graphics adorn this GTO, which is one of the last Judges known to have been built in the model’s history.  . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! . . [gallery ids="3642,3643,3644,3645,3646"] .

If you ask most automobile enthusiasts what the first true muscle car was, it is highly likely they will respond swiftly and authoritatively with three simple letters “GTO”.  In 1971, the last year of Judge production, there were only 357 produced. Of those, only a mere 17 were convertibles. After 1971, GM was working to reduce compression ratios in preparation for the coming unleaded gasoline and stricter EPA regulations. But, Pontiac’s pain is a modern enthusiast’s gain, as only 17 of those 357 Judge models were convertibles. This puts it on equal footing in the rarity stakes with such luminous and legendary muscle cars as the 1970-71 Hemi Cuda convertibles. This rare 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge convertible, in Castilian Bronze, is one of the 17 built for the 1971 model year.  Exceedingly rare and packed with factory options, this final-year GTO Judge convertible has all the qualities that have elevated The Judge to peak of the muscle car hierarchy . Because the cars from Shelby American have always been desirable rides, their biographies are as varied as their original owners. Shelby Mustangs and two-seat Cobras corralled buyers from all walks of life, from the blue-collar middle class to the affluent. However, Dave Steine's '65 Shelby GT350 isn't your typical rural Wisconsin Slippery's Tavern big fish story. Shelby American scheduled this GT350 for delivery via air freight to Romy Hammes Ford in South Bend, Indiana. Based on what we know about Trans World Airlines in 1965, Dave's GT350 was loaded onto a Boeing 707-331F freighter at the Los Angeles International Airport and jetted across the continent. That's quite a distinction when you consider how many Mustangs were shipped via rail and truck. After this GT350 was delivered to the dealership, the buyer backed out of the deal. The TWA pilot who flew the car from Los Angeles to Indiana got word of this turn of events and decided to buy the car from Hi-Performance Motors, Shelby's own dealership in Southern California. So the car was air freighted back to Los Angeles for delivery to the pilot. Where most Shelby Mustangs were thrashed and trashed on road courses and isolated stretches of highway, this one enjoyed 20 years of meticulous care until it was sold to Jim Bridges in--ironically--Shelby, North Carolina. It was there this car sat in a climate-controlled environment for another 22 years. Dave Steine eventually bought the GT350 from another highly respected Ford collector, Jacky Jones. . . As you know, Pro-touring cars are built to be driven; driven on the street, on the racetrack, on the drag strip, through cones at an auto-cross, no matter the setting, pro-touring cars are meant to be driven. Of course, that leaves quite a bit to interpretation as it doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone—and of course there's the old saying, "Don't race it if you can't afford to replace it." This beauty is decked out in a dark blue paint finish with the traditional GT 350 rocker panel stripe. Sporting Street Fighter Throttle wheels and tires and the reverse air hood scoop sets this one apart. Complete with a racing interior, plumbed and wired engine, and a rear window full sized spare. This one is ready to rock the streets or the track! . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! . [gallery ids="3803,3804,3805,3806,3807"] .

A Texan, a racer and a sportscar builder, Carroll Shelby joined forces with the Ford Motor Company in 1965 to create the ‘’father of muscle phenomenon’’, a tremendous version of the Mustang that was made to tear up the racetrack but also cruise the streets. In addition to the GT40 and Cobra programs, Ford commissioned Shelby to create an uprated Mustang to compete in the SCCA B-Production Championship. Thanks to various weight-saving measures, the GT350 tipped the scales at 224 lbs. less than a regular V8-engined Mustang. Performance was further improved thanks to an array of chassis modifications and a tuned 306bhp motor. . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! . While Shelby was diving deep into the the development of the GT40 for LeMans, he also had his sights on Ford's Mustangs. He wanted to turn Ford's secretary sports car into a track champion. So, Ford sent him three white K-code 1965 Mustangs. Serial number 5R002 would become the very first GT350R prototype and is arguably the most important Mustang in history! 5R002 would have multiple parts tested on it with drivers such as Ken Miles and Bob Bondurant behind the wheel, fenders widened by hand, the famous rear window designed by Peter Brock that let air escape, reverse hood scoop, and so much more! 5R002, aka the "Flying Mustang", would win its first race it ever entered on February 14,1965 with Ken Miles piloting the car to victory. Miles and others would compile 10 wins with 5R002 throughout the season with Jerry Titus capturing the SCCA B Production Championship for 1965! So Cal Speed Shop 1932 Ford
Stock Number  – 1804107 Year / Make / Model  – 1932 So Cal Speed Shop Ford Truck  Exterior Color  – Red / White Interior Color  – Black Manufacture  – Acme Estimated Release Date  – 1st Qtr 2025 Production Number  – 400   Scale  –  1:18 . Unlike many tales, the story of the So-Cal Speed Shop is not one made up by some clever marketing types; it's a true story of friendship, hot rods and the need for speed. The story begins on March 22, 1922, in Los Angeles, California, with the birth of Alex Xydias. Although his father was a prominent producer of silent movies, Alex's childhood was fairly normal, and like most young boys, he naturally gravitated towards automobiles. His first hot rod, a '29 Ford roadster with a milled head and a chopped flywheel, which he drove to Fairfax High School, was paid for with part-time earnings. However, his life, like that of so many young men, was about to change when, in 1942, he joined the Army Air Corps, serving as a B-17 engineer. On the day of his discharge-March 3, 1946-using some borrowed money, Alex opened the first So-Cal Speed Shop on Olive Avenue in Burbank. Over the following decades, So-Cal Speed Shop would build some of the most iconic hot rods for many of the most notable collectors on the planet. Their innovation and attention to detail set the bar in the hot rod industry. So, without further ado, ACME is pleased to announce this So-Cal Speed Shop 1932 Ford Hot Rod Pickup in honor of all the accomplishments that Alex and the So-Cal team has achieved! . Special Offer!!
